Kudos to Leann and Kahu‘Oi – “The Dynamic Duo”

Tūtū and Me - South Hawaii

Dynamic Duo

We were informed by our landlords that our office was to be tented for termites on February 23rd. Yikes! What were we going to do with all our equipment, toys, food???? Even though Terminex assured us that the toxic fumes would not leave a residue, it still was disconcerting to leave items exposed, items that would maybe find there way into a keiki’s mouth. So the only thing to do would be to wash EVERYTHING after the fact. Fortunately Kahu‘oi had a wonderful idea; Why not rent a U-Haul van and store all the items in there during the tenting? Yes!

Now you would think that that was the end of story, but the plot thickens… it turned out that on “moving” day, only Kahu‘oi, who happens to be about 6 months pregnant, and Leeann were the only ones who arrived at work. The rest of the Team were legitimately out for one reason or another, we all know how that goes. Any ways, the job got done, the toys safe and the termites gone and hence the nickname for Kahu‘oi Tamashiro and Leeann Haina, “The Dynamic Duo”. Kudos to them for going well beyond the “call of duty” and exemplifying the Hawaiian value of Pa‘ahana!
